Our Process for Success and Client Happiness
For every client, we begin with the “Discovery” phase. For this initial step, we interview the client and related personnel to analyze and define client issues, their current working environment (including all applicable data sources), and their overall goals. For every step of the process, we summarize and document our findings for client approval before moving on to the next phase.
In the “Analysis and Design” phase, we define and document our solutions to client problems. The solution also includes all assumptions and possible issues that may occur during the process and is approved by the client before proceeding to the next phase.
During the “Development” phase, we prepare and test all necessary components to achieve the client’s desired outcome. This phase includes implementing the solution defined in the Analysis and Design phase and includes a demonstration of the Development effort to be approved by the client.
The final and most important stage of our process is “Deployment”. Here, we install and activate the solution in the client environment including, but not limited to, installing necessary software and related reports, client and employee training, ongoing support from RoseBud, and insuring client satisfaction. At the end of this phase, a final summarization of our engagements with the client is reviewed and approved by the client establishing client acceptance of the solution.
Building Solutions with Power BI
As mentioned above, the first step to creating client solutions using Power BI involves collecting all possible data sources relevant to our client’s issues. Power BI can connect to over 54 data types including a blank query option that allows users to write their own query if there data type is not part of the 54. Once we establish connections to client data, we perform any and all data transformations necessary to optimize visual performance and strengthen reports. This includes data aggregation, preparing the data model, and visualizing the data using Power BI Desktop (depending on specific client needs for on premises reporting or cloud reporting ). With our clients approval, we then transition to the Power BI Service
(powerbi.com) and build dashboards that display the most important company aspects. These dashboards and reports can be viewed on the computer, tablet, or smart phone making it easier for our clients to make data driven decisions.
